Mikkel P. MadsenThe Danish specialty coffee association, SCAE Denmark, has appointed the Danish barista Mikkel P. Madsen from Sigfreds Kaffebar in Aarhus to represent Denmark in the Coffee In Good Spirits competition.

Unfortunately there was not enough competitors to have a national championship, so Mikkel has nok competed in this kind of competition. But he participated in this years Danish barista Championship where he finished 3rd. A very impressing performance, since he only had one year experience as a barista.

The Danish Cup Tasting Championship took place in Copenhagen at August the 26th 2007. The winner was Casper Engel Rasmussen from The Coffee Collective in Copenhagen, Denmark. Casper will be representing Denmark in the World Cup Tasting Championship.

Jacob C. Dupont finished 2nd and Karen Dysted 3rd.

Danish Barista Champion - Søren Stiller Markussen PDF Print E-mail

On March the 4th Denmark found their new National Barista Champion and of course the person who will try to win the WBC title back to Denmark. Even in his home country.

The winner was Søren Stiller Markussen (40). Søren has participated in the national competitions since 2004 and finished 2nd last year. He also represented Denmark in the World Latte Art Championship in 2007, where he also finished 2nd.

Mikkel Otto finished 2nd and Mikkel P. Madsen finished 3rd.

The Danish Latte Art Championship took place in Copenhagen at August the 26th 2007. The winner was Signe Støttrup Jensen from Sigfreds Kaffebar (Sigfred's Coffee shop) in Aarhus, Denmark. Signe will be representing Denmark in the World Latte Art Championship.
